Psychiatry South Stockholm strives to become a leading role model within Swedish psychiatry. We achieve this by working in a person-centered manner, providing the right competence for patient needs, emphasizing the application of evidence-based guidelines and care programs. We continue to invest in development work in the areas of patient safety, care processes, and our most important resource: our employees. We are over 750 dedicated employees who offer patients good, safe, and equitable care.

We are now looking for hourly registered nurses to join our team at Psychiatric Ward 50, focusing on general psychiatry. Are you our new colleague?

About Psychiatric Ward 50

We are a general psychiatric ward with a family-like atmosphere where decision-making paths are short. We work extensively with feedback to each other and daily reflections where we reflect on how the day has been. We are a tight-knit group that values teamwork and enjoys spending time together.

We care for patients with various psychiatric diagnoses and have 16 care beds. We are located at Nacka Hospital alongside seven other psychiatric wards. The ward was completed at the end of 2019, so everything from the premises to the interior still feels new. We work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of doctors, nursing assistants, registered nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and medical secretaries. We work based on person-centered care, SafeWords, and the process map for psychiatric inpatient care, following the patient through the entire care process.

We work from admission, medication management, investigation, planning, treatment, and nursing, discharge, through to follow-up via outpatient care. The Bergen Model for preventing threats and violence is applied on the ward, and all newly hired staff receive a 4-day training in this working method. The workplace is located at Nacka Hospital next to Ektorps Center with good transport connections and close to nature. In the same building, there are also seven of the clinic's other wards for psychiatric inpatient care with which we collaborate closely.

The patients who come to us have severe psychiatric symptoms and are in crisis. The focus is on communication, creating safety, support in routines, promoting planning, coordination, and collaboration around the patient's goals. The work is a pronounced team effort, and you will primarily work together with caregivers, nursing assistants, registered nurses, and doctors. Documentation takes place in the journal system TakeCare.

Our expectations of you

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in psychiatry and curiosity about meeting people and supporting our patients in their illness. If you have specialized training in psychiatry or previous experience in psychiatric care within inpatient care or other activities where you have encountered individuals with psychiatric issues, this is an advantage.

Personal qualities

Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You are curious, creative, and responsible. You have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues but can also work independently and make your own decisions when necessary. In nursing care, you base your work on the resources and needs of the patient and their relatives.

What we can offer you

We are now seeking colleagues for hourly shifts including day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. As an hourly employee, after your introduction, you have the opportunity to work on all 8 psychiatric wards at Nacka Hospital, if you wish.

We offer you training in, among other things, the Bergen Model and CPR.

You apply for the position with a CV, cover letter, and certificates. We conduct ongoing interviews in this recruitment process.

We warmly welcome your application!
